Founded in July 1975 as a JV between LTAT and BICC Cables Ltd.

First production was in 1978
1. Five trial cables have been produced and tested at the lead stage: –
2. It was reported out of 310KM, 260KM was accepted by LLN for the supply of PILC Cables
3. Commercial production started in January 1978 and 10KM of PILC Cables were delivered to LLN in February 1978
BICC Cables shareholding purchased by General Cables Ltd (USA)

2000
2000 (Sept) BICC General Share Holding Purchased by Pirrelli.
The company were reverted back to “Power Cables Malaysia Sdn Bhd”
2006 (Nov) Prysmian took over Cables & System Business from Pirelli
2006
2011
2011 (Feb)- Prysmian acquired Draka and Formed the Prysmian Group
2014 (Feb) -Merger of Prysmian Holdings B.V into Draka Holdings B.V
